Jan 7, 2024 · Note that Sky+ / Sky+ HD hardware cannot host any apps, including iPlayer. As @caesarome indicates, channel owners have to offer on-demand content to those (now rather old) boxes differently. For iPlayer itself you'd need Sky Q, Sky Glass/Stream or some other modern app-hosting device.

Aug 24, 2024 · When I access BBC iPlayer on either my HDR recorder or my Blu-ray player, there is a banner informing that iPlayer will no longer be available 'on this device' from 30th October 2024. I much prefer to watch iPlayer material on either of those devices, because I can feed the audio signal through my amplifier and then to my headphones.

Jan 29, 2025 · When I try to sign in to the BBC iplayer app on my Sky Q box it will not generate a code or QR code for the iplayer sign-in site. It just sits with a spinning circle. I have tried the following with no success: Reset by holding power button. Reset by disconnecting power. All 3 resets in the hidden settings menu. App refresh from the hidden menu

Dec 7, 2023 · When in BBC IPlayer half way through streaming a programme screen goes black. If I do nothing it stays black. Only way to fix is to put skyq to standby then switch back on, and then reload IPlayer

I don't have a TV License as the majority of what I watch is on Netflix/Prime/Now/etc. TV isn't even connected to an aerial and I don't use iPlayer, but according to the email their 'records show [I've] used BBC iPlayer on a number of occasions over recent weeks.' and that I need to buy a license.

Jan 25, 2025 · My new installation of SKY q is giving a problem only on the BBC iplayer. Whilst watching a stream the screen goes black. The only way to get out of this is to return to the q home screen, reload the iplayer and resume the stream. I am set to 2160 10 bit resolution using a Samsung 48 Oled uhd tv. Dec 1, 2024 · I feel like this is another step closer/clue to BBC eventually having every single episode of EastEnders available on iPlayer. It would make them the first broadcaster AFAIK to have a soap's complete run available to stream.

Dec 17, 2024 · The BBC catch up is still available on Sky and I prefer to use it rather than the BBC iPlayer, just due to fast-forward and rewind is so clunky on iPlayer whereas on the catch-up it's just like a regular recording and you can navigate it with ease.
