The fourth-place Twins have no time to show that they can make a playoff run before this week's trade deadline.
The Minnesota Twins traded right-handed pitchers Chris Paddack and Randy Dobnak to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for catching prospect Enrique Jimenez.
Jeff Passan of ESPN reports there was an additional piece in the deal. Full trade, per ESPN sources: Detroit receives: RHP Chris Paddack and RHP Randy Dobnak Minnesota receives: C/1B Enrique Jimenez Dobnak is under team control through 2027.
