The City of New Orleans says it has spent more than 18 months preparing to host its 11th Super Bowl on Feb. 9.

With anti-Semitic crimes from displaying swastikas to vandalising synagogues on the rise, governments are pushing new laws to punish offenders.

Displaying hate symbols, funding terrorism and terror crimes will now carry mandatory minimum sentences federally after the laws successfully passed parliament on Thursday.
