Deputies arrested a juvenile connected to the constant fireworks explosions that have frustrated Santa Clarita neighbors.

Deputy Daniel Chavira, 21, was heading home after completing a double shift at the North County Correctional Facility when he was involved in a three-car accident.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was mourning the death of a 21-year-old deputy who was killed while off duty in a multi-vehicle collision in Santa Clarita.
