A 7-Eleven convenience store in the North Highlands area of Sacramento County was evacuated Monday morning following a standoff with sheriff deputies, officials said.

A car crash was reported Monday morning in the Carmichael area of Sacramento County. Emergency medical services were dispatched around 4:30 a.m. to Dewey Drive and Madison Avenue.
