Car horns, chants and cheers filled the air around the Williamsburg-James City Courthouse on Saturday night as thousands of people participated in the largest “No Kings” rally in the region.

The Houston demonstration is one of several planned in the region throughout the day and is expected to draw thousands of protesters.

Protesters gathered in downtown Mobile as part of nationwide demonstrations against Trump's administration, with one attendee claiming the turnout exceeded expectations for "lower Alabama."

"I'm really surprised and my heart is warmed by how many people are here," 18-year-old Lea Sribar said of the demonstration at the heart of a Republican-majority county.

South Jersey residents, such as Jessica Herrera of Cherry Hill, took to the streets of Philadelphia to sound off against the Trump administration.

Thousands of people in Collin and Denton counties joined the No Kings protests on Saturday as a part of a nationwide movement.

A suspect was arrested in connection with threats made against state lawmakers who planned to attend Saturday's "No Kings" protest at the Texas Capitol in Austin, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A “No Kings” protest east of Pittsburgh wound down after about two hours of chants, speeches and the near constant honking of car horns, with no clashes beyond some harsh words exchanged with Trump supporters in passing cars.
