Chicago police said charges are pending against a man for a home invasion Monday night on the city's West Side.

The 34-year-old was riding his bike on the eastside when an officer swerved to avoid another vehicle, leading to the crash.

Neighbors reported that the same bear had ransacked freezers, wandered through kitchens, and even took a dip in a swimming pool earlier that morning.
