McLaren's Lando Norris snatched pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix from local hero Charles Leclerc's Ferrari with the final lap of qualifying.

MONACO — Lando Norris secured pole position for the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, surviving the red flags and competitors’ close calls in what turned out to be a tight qualifying session.

Lewis Hamilton was fifth, but as he chased a late improvement the seven-time world champion lost control over his Ferrari in the long left-hander of Massenet, sliding into the barriers with his right-rear and then right-front, causing a red flag that effectively ended the session.
