Charles Leclerc was left in an apologetic mood as he lamented his "very stupid" crash during Friday practice at the F1 Canadian Grand Prix. Moments after going fastest in the opening practice session, Leclerc carried too much speed into the second chicane, ran over the grass and clipped the inside wall, before ending up in the Turn 4 barriers.

The first 15 minutes of the session had barely elapsed when Charles Leclerc smashed his Ferrari into the wall at turn 3. The current leader of the session has already fallen out of contention after crashing into the outside wall at Turn 3.
