Three days after earning the No. 18 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, the Terps wasted a 17-point lead in the first half and watched helplessly as Bruce Thornton and host Ohio State rallied for a 73-70 win Thursday night before an announced 10,155 at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Bruce Thornton pulled out a career-defining performance to will Ohio State back from a 17-point deficit against No. 18 Maryland, with 31 points and a game-winning basket in a 73-70 win.

The game came down to the final two possessions. With the score tied at 69, Ohio State junior guard Bruce Thornton answered the call. One-on-one with sophomore guard Rodney Rice, Thornton banked in a contested 3-pointer for the Buckeyes, who then held off the Terps on the other end of the floor.
