Tuesday's incident comes on the heels of a 3.0-magnitude earthquake in Bergen County's Hasbrouck Heights Saturday night that rattled parts of New Jersey and New York. Saturday night's earthquake was felt up to 65 miles away in parts of New York's Lower Hudson Valley and western Connecticut.

When you think of earthquake danger zones in the United States, it's unlikely that New Jersey is at the top of your list. However, the Garden State has been something of a hotbed of seismic activity this week.

For the second time in four days, a small earthquake has rattled parts of northern New Jersey and shaking was felt as far away as Connecticut, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
