That power was on full display as the Volunteers slugged four homers. Two came from left fielder Dalton Bargo to beat the Hogs 10-7 in the first game of the set.
Arkansas pulled within 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth when Kuhio Aloy doubled against Tennessee right-handed starter Marcus Phillips to score Logan Maxwell. Aloy was stranded when a pair of Tennessee relievers, Dylan Loy and AJ Russell, teamed to strike out Cam Kozeal and Ryder Helfrick in left-left and right-right matchups.
Liam Doyle was named the SEC Pitcher of the Year and also a first-team selection after a dominate season on the bump for Tennessee. Doyle is just the third Vol to receive this honor, joining Luke Hochevar (2005) and Chase Dollander (2022).
