Governor Greg Abbott announced Sunday that Texas Department of Public Safety operations are expected to “expand in coming days” as part of immigration enforcement efforts.

The Texas Department of Public Safety will resume helping the Austin Police Department to combat crime and shorten response times, after stepping away in May to enforce the border.
