The Eagles have missed badly drafting safeties ever since. Interestingly, the only starter to come out of the NFL draft since 2010 was someone who wasn't even drafted. That was Reed Blankenship, who was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2022. Blankenship started five games as a rookie, then became a full-time starter in 2023.

On Friday, former Philadelphia Eagles scout and current NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah spent a couple hours answering questions from reporters about the 2025 NFL Draft. Some of those questions were about the Eagles. Here's what Jeremiah said, and I'll throw in my two cents as well.

The Philadelphia Eagles will have the last pick in the first round, due to being the defending Super Bowl champs of course, and seven picks in rounds two through five, although Executive VP/GM/Wizard Howie Roseman has been known to make a deal or two on draft weekend.
