Hamas on Friday released the names of six living Israeli hostages who the militants plan to release Saturday under the terms of the ceasefire. The Hamas-linked Palestinian prisoners media office said over 600 Palestinians are also to be freed from Israeli prisons in exchange.

Hamas militants turned over four bodies on Thursday under the tenuous ceasefire, which has paused over 15 months of war. Israeli confirmed one body was that of Oded Lifshitz, who was 83 when he was abducted during the Hamas attack on Israel that started the war on Oct. 7, 2023.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas has named six Israeli hostages who are set to be released on Saturday. This is as Israel is expected to release more than 600 Palestinian prisoners as part of a ceasefire agreement between the parties.

The families of Israeli hostages still held by the Hamas militant group on Friday welcomed the “joyous news” that three men, all taken from the same kibbutz on Oct. 7, 2023, are expected to be freed on Saturday in exchange for more than 300 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails.
