France's foreign minister said on Thursday a U.S. and Israel-backed aid distribution system in Gaza had generated a "bloodbath" and had to cease activity.

Saudi Arabia and France issued the "New York Declaration," which was backed by the Arab League, Qatar and Egypt.

"Hamas actively interferes with and disrupts aid distribution," Israeli Consul General Afir Okunis told Newsweek.
