Texas State could officially be announced as the Pac-12’s ninth member at any moment. According to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Texas State has told the Sun Belt Conference that they are expecting to receive an offer to join the new-look Pac-12.

Texas State is expected to accept an offer from the Pac-12 to join the conference as the ninth member starting in 2026-27.
