After briefly overtaking him with a divebomb at Turn 10, Piastri regained the position on the run down to the final chicane after maximising the slipstream and DRS from Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli ahead.

The race finished under the safety car with Piastri in fourth place behind Russell, Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli.

Norris' mistake has left him 22 points behind the Australian in their fight for the championship.
