Jimmy Butler suffered a pelvic injury during the opening quarter. The Warriors fought valiantly in his absence, but ultimately fell to Houston, leaving their series tied at 1-1.

The agent for Golden State Warriors star Jimmy Butler remained vague when addressing his client's status for Game 3 against the Houston Rockets. Andscape's Marc J. Spears relayed a text message from Bernie Lee saying, "Pray for the bear," in reference to his client:

Not only did the Rockets blow out the Warriors, 109-94, on Wednesday, but Golden State lost Jimmy Butler to a pelvic contusion in the first quarter after a hard fall on a rebound attempt. Butler is expected to have an MRI on Thursday, which will give us more information on his status moving forward in this series.
