Two people were killed and two others were hurt, including a Kentucky state trooper, after two separate shootings in Lexington over the weekend, including one at a church. We're learning new details about the victims in the shooting at Richmond Road Baptist Church.

After barging into the church and realizing his apparent target wasn’t inside, the killer declared, “Well, someone’s gonna have to die, then” before he opened fire, witnesses said.

The Herald-Leader reported that House entered the church and demanded to see the mother of his three children. But he was told by one of Gumm’s other daughters, Star Rutherford, that she wasn’t there. Rutherford told the Herald-Leader that House then said: “Well, someone is gonna have to die then.”

The assailant was fatally shot by police at a Lexington church, but not before shooting five people and killing two.
