The San Francisco 49ers have released special teams standout George Odum. This move follows Odum being placed on the non-football injury list Friday due to a knee injury.

Odum (6-1, 202) originally signed with the 49ers on March 22, 2022. In three seasons with the team (2022-24), he appeared in 40 games (two starts) and registered 14 tackles, five passes defensed and one interception, while adding 36 tackles on special teams. He also appeared in six postseason contests and added one special teams tackle.
