CATTARAUGUS COUNTY, N.Y. — Forest rangers helped four adults after Cattaraugus Creek rose nearly three feet in a matter of minutes last weekend. The rescue happened on Sunday, July 13.

Thirty displaced barn cats and kittens in Cattaraugus County are in urgent need of homes. The cats — including 17 kittens — recently lost their homes after a tornado ripped through Great Valley.
