Healy has always shown his Tour promise. In 2020, he won the last stage of the Ronde de l’Isard in France, considered one of the top under-23 races in the world, the same day as Bennett won the last stage of the Tour de France. In 2019, Healy was also the youngest ever winner of a stage of the Tour de l’Avenir.

Ireland's Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost) soloed to victory on stage 6 of the Tour de France, attacking out of the day-long breakaway with 42km to ride to his first Tour stage win, whilst Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) reclaimed yellow behind.

Healy chose the almost-time-trial-esque POC Procen helmet and aero-designed Propel sunglasses, which marry up very cleanly to the sides of the helmet. There must be a small gain to be had here, along with the efficiency of the helmet itself.

Tadej Pogačar remains the -550 favorite to win the 2025 Tour de France after Stage 6 on Thursday, but the competition remains stiff up front where Mathieu van der Peul (+49000) reclaimed the yellow jersey as overall leader, one second ahead of the three-time champion.

Tour de France continues on Friday with Stage 7, a 197 km trek through Brittany featuring rolling terrain and a dramatic finish at Mûr-de-Bretagne.
