Columbia University graduate student Mahmoud Khalil has been held in New Jersey and Louisiana as the Trump administration tries to deport him because of his participation in pro-Palestinian

Following his March 8 arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at his residence on the Columbia campus, Khalil was sent to a New Jersey detention center and ultimately shipped to a new facility in Louisiana.
