Myanmar's Tachileik city turns to Laos for power supply after Thai govt action
BANGKOK: The electricity authority in Tachileik city of Myanmar, near Chiang Rai province, is expected to fully switch on power supply from Laos within one to two days, provincial governor Charin Thongsuk said on Wednesday (Feb 5).
Thailand’s stoppage of cross-border power and fuel supplies is affecting border communities in Myanmar, some of which are sourcing electricity from Laos where possible.
