The Miami Heat are trying desperately to trade Jimmy Butler and a new report says the Minnesota Timberwolves, with Julius Randle, are a team to watch.

Friday’s game was a far cry from Dec. 19, when the Knicks dominated the Timberwolves in Minnesota, 133-107. That night, Edwards scored just 17 points on 16 shots, deferring to Randle, who was still acclimating to his new team after the trade.

The NBA trade deadline is less than two weeks away and the Timberwolves face a massive decision: Keep Julius Randle or deal him. Why it matters: The clock will soon start ticking on the prime years of 23-year-old Anthony Edwards,

Given that Anthony Edwards is listed as questionable on the injury report, the assumption is that he could end up playing against the Nuggets. DiVincenzo is a fixture on the injury report these days, but if Edwards feels significantly better before tip-off, he'll be active for Saturday's game against the Nuggets.

ESPN writer Kevin Pelton has floated a Julius Randle trade that would absolutely improve the Minnesota Timberwolves' spacing.

After Edwards shot the 3 with time winding down, Julius Randle could be seen on ESPN's cameras making his way towards the locker room. A review had held up the final inbounds play, but Randle was already on his way out of the tunnel, and he's been the subject of criticism for his early exit and body language during crunch time in Wednesday's game.

Randle finished Saturday's 133-104 victory over Denver with 21 points (9-20 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block across 32 minutes. The veteran forward stuffed the stat sheet Saturday,

"Rival executives believe the Timberwolves will be seeking a Julius Randle trade before the deadline for a better on-court fit alongside Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert," Sidery reported Thursday. "Randle has a $30.9 million player option for next season many around the NBA are expecting him to pick up."
