MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — A pet zebra that went missing in Middle Tennessee has been found and rescued safely after multiple days on the loose, according to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office.

The fugitive zebra was finally captured in a field in Christiana, south of Murfreesboro in Rutherford County, on June 8. Earlier in the weekend, law enforcement was tracking the zebra with a drone .

The zebra, named Ed, was safely recaptured in a pasture in Rutherford County. He was airlifted in a net and flown by helicopter to a trailer so that he could be returned to his owner, AP reported.
