Marites Buenafe, a 62-year-old cruise passenger from Kentucky, is missing after embarking on a solo hike in Alaska while on the cruise ship Norwegian Bliss.

Marites Buenafe, of Kentucky, was reported missing Tuesday afternoon when she did not return to the cruise ship Norwegian Bliss, according to the Alaska State Troopers.

Marites Buenafe, originally from Kentucky, told her family she'd disembarked from the Norwegian Bliss for a hike. She never came back to the ship.
