Tim and Esther Keiderling were found dead this week after attempting to scale Mount Katahdin in Maine over the weekend, after a massive search party recovered their bodies.

Two hikers, a father and daughter, were found dead near the summit of Maine's highest peak, Mount Katahdin, days after they went missing.

Tim Keiderling and Esther Keiderling, both of Ulster Park, New York, set out to hike the summit on Sunday, officials said.
