A fuel truck crash and fire collapsed the Old Vaucluse Road bridge over Interstate 20 in Aiken County early June 14, 2025. That led to a closure of I-20 for miles and a detour through Graniteville.

The driver was ejected from the golf cart in the wreck and died at the scene, according to the coroner's office.
