Nvidia Corp. boss Jensen Huang anticipates getting the first batch of US licenses to export H20 AI chips to China soon, formally allowing the company to resume sales of a much sought-after component in the world’s top semiconductor arena.

Nvidia is back in China.In a stunning turn of events, the chip maker said it expects to soon be able to sell its H20 AI chip in the country.On Monday, Nvidia said the U.S. government has assured the company it will approve its license applications to sell the H20 to China.

In April 2025, the U.S. expanded restrictions to include the Nvidia H20 chip, a China-specific version designed to comply with earlier export rules.
