LHP Logan Allen (3-3, 4.22) will start for the Guards, while LHP Colton Gordon (0-1, 5.94) will start for Houston at 7:10 p.m. CLEGuardians.TV, WKYC Ch. 3, WTAM 1100 AM, WMMS 100.7 FM, WARF and the Guardians radio network will carry the game.

It’s the second shutout loss of the year for the Yankees. The only other time they’ve been blanked in 2025 was a 5-0 loss to the Tigers and reigning Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal in Detroit back in April.

Guardians catcher Austin Hedges has been placed on the seven-day concussion list, retroactive to Wednesday. Manager Stephen Vogt said before Friday's game against the Houston Astros that Hedges was struck on a backswing from the Yankees' Jazz Chisholm Jr.
