Gaza's civil defence agency said Israeli air strikes on Sunday killed more than 40 Palestinians, including at a market and a water distribution point, as talks for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas stalled.

Gaza health officials say Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 19 people including six children at a water collection point.

The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has surpassed 58,000 since the war's onset 21 months ago, with a significant number being women and children. Recen
