A former Foo Fighters member has posted a list of reasons that could explain his acrimonious departure from the punk rock band. Josh Freese was the drummer for Foo Fighters from 2023 to 2025, when the 52-year-old was let go and told that the band was going 'in a different direction'.

Josh Freese, the drummer for the Foo Fighters, says that as of Monday, he’s no longer with the band. Freese, 52, is also known for being part of the bands A Perfect Circle, Devo, The Vandals and Guns N’ Roses. He joined the Foo Fighters in 2023 after the band’s longtime drummer, Taylor Hawkins, died in 2022.
