After all, Jefferson’s comments came just days after another report in The Athletic that revealed that fellow analyst Doris Burke isn’t a lock to return to ESPN’s top NBA booth next season.

The series will be broadcast on ABC. Calling the games will include the ESPN/ABC crew of Mike Breen, Doris Burke and Richard Jefferson, while Lisa Salters will be the sideline reporter.

Jefferson was with Burke at the 2025 Women's College World Series, and his shirt read, "My favorite broadcaster is Doris Burke." Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle also talked about her situation.
