President Donald Trump's approval rating ticked slightly lower this week to 42%, matching the lowest level of his new term as Americans kept a dour view of his handling of the U.S. economy, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.

As of May 16, those polled in Tennessee show a strong approval for the work Trump has done so far in his second term as president, with a 59% approval rating. Around 38% of people polled in the state disapproved of Trump and 3% were unsure of their stance.
