Three contestants competed in the Season 23 finale of “American Idol,” but only two made it to the episode’s final moments. Breanna Nix was revealed as the second-runner up during Sunday night’s episode of the singing competition, which depicted the Texas singer facing off against fellow finalists Jamal Roberts and John Foster.

Before announcing the winner, host Ryan Seacrest said there were a record-breaking 26 million votes, more than double last year's finale.
