"Mufasa: The Lion King," the prequel to the billion-dollar grossing 2019 "The Lion King," gets a Disney+ streaming date.

Disney+ is expanding its library this month, as Mufasa: The Lion King arrives on one of the best streaming services on March 26, so you can bring the thrill of the Pride Lands to your own home. This follows other new movies, such as Moana 2 which arrives on Disney+ on Wednesday, March 12.

"Mufasa: The Lion King" is coming home. The Barry Jenkins-directed epic, which serves as both a prequel and sequel to 2019's reimagined "The Lion King," will debut on Disney+ March 26. This confirms Disney Entertainment co-chairman Dana Walden's comments last week that the film would be available "later in March.
