Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones pushed back hard on the notion that his decision to promote offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to be his next head coach was one made out of comfort.

In a twist of irony, ousted Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is now considered a top candidates for Dallas’s head coaching vacancy.

Jerry Jones called the decision "as big a risk as you could take" but believes hiring Brian Schottenheimer gives the team the best chance to succeed.
