After eight successful seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, it looks as if veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp will soon be on his way out of LA. On Monday night, Kupp took to social media to announce that the team had informed him of their plans to trade him, likely to a destination where he can “continue competing for championships.”

Kupp going to Dallas feels like such a Cowboys move. Jerry Jones wants to win now, and Kupp pairs well with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Dallas desperately needs production from that second receiver spot, and Kupp could provide that and then some.

According to USA Today’s Jacob Camenker, who tabbed Kupp as a possible fit with the Cowboys in a piece from earlier this season, the Rams have expressed a willingness to absorb some of that cap hit in order to move Kupp. In terms of the likelihood Dallas lands the WR, though, Camenker says don’t hold your breath.
