The NWS also urges residents to have an evacuation plan, ensure they have a go kit ready in case of an emergency and listen to their local officials for evacuation updates.

The red flag warning remains in effect for all islands through Friday until 6 p.m. due to gusty winds and low humidity. “A dry and locally windy trade wind flow will produce critical fire weather conditions through at least Friday and possibly into Saturday. Winds will be strongest over and downwind of terrain,” according to the forecast.
