A magnitude-5.6 quake struck inland from the Sunshine Coast on Saturday morning, with tremors felt as far north as Rockhampton and as far south as Glen Innes in New South Wales.

The epicentre of the quake struck at Kilkivan, west of Gympie and 256 kilometres north of Brisbane, at 9.50am today.
