Wall Street is drifting between gains and losses Thursday as UnitedHealth Group’s stock plunges toward its worst drop in more than a quarter century, while most of the rest of the U.S. stock market ticks higher.

UnitedHealth Group lost more than a fifth of its value and fell 22.4 percent following a weaker-than-expected profit report.

Wall Street stocks ended mixed on Thursday, lifted by Eli Lilly and Apple, as investors weighed progress in U.S. trade negotiations with Japan against concerns about the interest rate outlook.
