Kevin Roy and Aldrich Potgieter each shot 10-under 62 on Thursday to break the Rocket Classic record and share the first-round lead.

Kevin Roy put together an 18th-place finish in his last tournament in the RBC Canadian Open at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, and comes into the 2025 Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club with +12500 odds to win. Roy has competed in 15 events in the past year. His best finish was sixth, and his average finish was 29th, with one top 10.
