Already playing without Steph Curry because of an injury, the Golden State Warriors are getting dangerously close to having to play without Draymond Green, too. The former NBA defensive MVP was assessed a dead-ball technical foul in the first half of Game 2 on Thursday after he somehow hit Timberwolves defender Naz Reid in the head with his elbow after Reid fouled Green.

Despite the looming punishment, however, Green was able to hit a historic career milestone shortly after the incident. The NBA reacted to the big news by sending the former Defensive Player of the Year a congratulatory message for moving to the No. 14 spot for the most assists in the postseason.

Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors are playing the Minnesota Timberwolves for Game 2 of their second-round series. Green had five points, three rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block while shooting 1/6 from the field in his first 22 minutes of playing time.
