The overnight work is part of Consumers Energy’s efforts to reduce the number and length of power outages in Michigan.

Consumers Energy will be performing electric service work near Rives Township in Jackson County on Thursday, July 10.

Consumers said work will shut off power from 11 p.m. Saturday, July 12, until as late as 7 a.m. Sunday, July 13.

Consumers Energy is letting customers know they are planning substation maintenance Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
