American Scottie Scheffler on Sunday won his first British Open, taking home the Claret Jug at the 153rd iteration of golf's oldest tournament four strokes ahead of Harris English.

Scottie Scheffler was quick to point out the British Open was only at the halfway point at Royal Portrush.

Scheffler becomes just the fourth player all-time to win the Open, Masters and PGA Championship before age 30.

“It’s been an awesome week,” McIlroy said after shooting 2-under 69 to tie for seventh at the British Open.
