The No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports team received penalties for two pre-race inspection failures Friday at EchoPark Speedway.

After 14 cars went out on the track, NASCAR has put a pause on Cup Series qualifying at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta. Lightning in the area, in an otherwise mostly blue sky, has put a hold on the on-track activities.

As NASCAR reaches the halfway mark of its 2025 season, the Cup and Xfinity series will make their first return visits with EchoPark Speedway. It's the second NASCAR race weekend this year for the 1.54-mile speedway south of Atlanta.
