Nathan Fielder, the creator, star and writer of HBO's "The Rehearsal" called out the Federal Aviation Administration for criticizing the show's examination of whether or not poor communication between pilots could be the cause of plane crashes.

In a CNN interview to discuss the recent season’s focus on pilot safety, Fielder responded to a Federal Aviation Administration statement and criticized training standards.

Fielder, who is the star, writer, director, and executive producer of the series, spent two years training to become a licensed commercial pilot type-rated to fly a 737.
