A long-simmering fight over congressional security roared back to the surface this weekend following a pair of shootings against Minnesota state legislators at their homes that left two dead and two others hospitalized.
Republicans and Democrats said Saturday's killings in Minnesota were a chilling reminder of the threats they receive regularly.
Authorities have identified 57-year-old Vance Boelter as the suspect in the targeted shootings of Minnesota lawmakers Melissa Hortman and
Minnesota officials said they are searching for Vance Luther Boelter, who was last seen in the Twin Cities area.
Threats and violent acts have become part of the political landscape, still shocking but somehow not so surprising.
